New Partnership With Embassy Cultural House

The GardenShip community is proud to announce that we are now partnered with Embassy Cultural House.

In 1983 GardenShip contributors Jamelie Hassan and artist Ron Benner, as well as musician Eric Stach founded the Embassy Cultural House. This new space could be more than an art gallery. It was a project fueled by the desire to be culturally and politically engaged and embraced cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural practices in all forms (visual art, installation, performance, film, poetry, music).

While the original incarnation was located in the Embassy Hotel's restaurant at 732 Dundas Street in London's East end, this new manifestation responds to our need for community and political engagement at a distance. As such, this new online artist-run space is bringing the ethos of the original project into our homes.

I know I look forward to the dynamic opportunities to engage with an even wider community of interdisciplinary artists that this partnership facilitates. It is always validating to find groups and individuals with fellow feeling.

Please visit the Embassy Cultural House at https://www.embassyculturalhouse.ca

And explore the troves of videos, essays, and artworks.
